Bought a sub-$200 smoke machine off the tool truck after chasing a P0171 on a customer's Silverado for two days with carb cleaner. Hooked it to the intake, pumped it full of vapor, and within 30 seconds I could see the leak at the intake gasket on the passenger side. Charged the guy 1.5 hours diag and he was out the door same day, no parts cannon. I used to dread evap and vacuum leaks because you can waste a whole afternoon spraying and guessing. What's the tool you held off on buying way too long?
