I used to just dump brake cleaner down a caliper bore

After seizing up a customer's rear caliper on a 2002 Civic in Tucson last spring from washing out all the grease, now I only use compressed air to clean those bores and apply fresh synthetic grease immediately - has anyone else had a similar learning curve with brake work?

learning curve" is an understatement lol. I learned the hard way too, now I just spray brake cleaner on a rag and wipe the bore clean.

Oh man, tell me about it - I once greased a caliper with anti-seize because I was out of the good stuff and that was a whole new level of stupid. @val_williams I mean, you're not wrong that it can work but I've got the scars to show why I do it your way now.

Oh come on, are we really acting like a little brake cleaner is the end of the world? Just wipe it dry and grease it up, no need for a whole production.
