My shop's new policy on aftermarket parts is driving me nuts

The owner decided we have to push a specific brand of aftermarket control arms for every job, saying they're 'just as good' as OEM. I installed a set on a 2018 Silverado last month, and the bushings were shot after 6,000 miles. The customer came back furious, and I had to redo the whole job on our dime. I've seen too many cheap parts fail early and it hurts our name. Why fix something twice when you can do it right once? Does anyone else feel pressured to use parts they don't trust?

Can't believe they failed after only 6,000 miles.

My buddy had the same thing happen with cheap struts, customer came back mad as hell. Susan_wright34, that 6,000 mile fail is brutal but not surprising lol. Feels like we're all getting pushed to use junk these days.

My cousin's shocks lasted just 8 months, total garbage.
