Snake oil pressure bleeders made me eat crow last week
Been doing brakes for 15 years with the old two person pump and hold method. Figured those handheld pressure bleeders were just gimmicks for weekend warriors, no way could they beat gravity. Then a 2007 F-150 came in with a soft pedal that would not bleed out no matter how many times we cycled the ABS module. Buddy tossed me his Motive bleeder out of desperation, hooked it up to the master cylinder at 15 psi, and all that trapped air came out in one pass. Pedal felt solid after 5 minutes of work I had wasted 2 hours fighting. Anyone else held onto an old method way too long before admitting the modern tool just works better?
