Two years ago I just called the first broker on Google and paid $1,400 to move my Civic from Phoenix to Portland, and the car sat at a terminal for 4 days waiting on a driver. Last time I booked straight with a small carrier I found on a forum and paid $875 with a 2 day pickup window. How do you all screen these little carriers so you don't get burned on the back end?
