Serious question, how long did it take you to figure out the right carrier for a lifted truck?
I spent almost 3 weeks trying to book a transport for my lifted Silverado from Denver to Tucson, because 4 different brokers kept quoting me rates and then calling back saying the carrier couldn't handle the height or the wheel base. Finally got a straight answer from a dispatcher out of Albuquerque who actually measured the truck instead of guessing, and the whole thing shipped in 2 days for $1,150. The part that ate the most time was getting real numbers on the height limit per trailer, since half the quotes were for a standard open carrier that wouldn't clear it. Did anyone else get burned by height specs when booking, or is there a better way to screen carriers up front?
