An old lead hand told me to label every wire by hand, and I fought him on it for a year
Last Tuesday I was pulling a radio rack out of a King Air at our hangar in Wichita and spent 2 hours on my back chasing a bundle because some earlier job left every wire the same white color. A retired lead hand named Dale told me years ago to tag each wire with a label maker before I pull anything, and I ignored him because it felt slow, but that 2 hour hunt would have been 10 minutes with tags. Does anyone here have a labeling habit they picked up from an old timer that you wish you had started sooner?
