Hit 4,000 flight hours on a test bench and it caught me off guard
I was logging a routine IRU alignment check last Tuesday when the counter ticked over to 4,000 hours on the bench. That number sounds huge but it's really just a bunch of 10 minute checks stacked up since 2019. I've never actually run a full production unit that long, mostly repair and return work out of the DFW hangar. Has anyone else kept track of their bench time versus actual aircraft time? I'm curious if that ratio is normal for a shop our size.
