I saw a guy at the hangar using a regular screwdriver on a coax connector and it made me want to scream

What kind of monster does that? I read a forum post once where a guy bragged about using pliers to tighten his antenna connector. The comments tore him apart. You just know that center pin is crushed and the dielectric is probably cracked. It's a sure way to get water in there and kill your signal. Some people just have no respect for proper tools.

That reminds me of a neighbor who used a wrench on his cable fittings. Felix is right about the water getting in, because that guy ended up with a fried amplifier after the next big rain. Some lessons are just learned the hard way.
