Spent $95 on a cheap pin crimper and it bit me on a cannon plug rewiring job in Fresno
I grabbed a no-name ratcheting crimper off a tool truck out in Fresno cause my good one was at the calibration lab, and I figured how bad could it be for one cannon plug job. Third pin in, the crimp looked fine on the outside but pulled right off the wire with maybe 2 lbs of tug, so I had to cut the whole connector off and start over. Turned out the die was stamped way off, the wire was loose in the barrel and barely making contact. Boss made me redo all 24 pins and log it as a finding in the squawk report. What's the cheapest tool you'll still trust for a connector pin, cause I clearly picked wrong?
