That week I had three Amber 33 units in a row fail during bench testing on Cessna 172s

Two were bad out of the box and one had a cracked solder joint inside the tray from a previous repair, so now I'm wondering if it's just bad luck from our supplier or if we need to change how we handle these units before install, has anyone else seen a spike like that from the same batch?

Man you are not alone on this one. I had almost the exact same problem last fall with a batch of 33s, three out of five were dead right out of the box and one had a loose pin in the connector that we didn't catch until after we bench tested it twice. We ended up sending them all back and got replacements from a different lot number, those have been fine so far. Were yours all from the same batch code by any chance? Ours all came from the same three letter prefix and the supplier didn't even ask questions when we returned them.

Actually I've had the complete opposite experience with those 33s, I've been running a set for about eight months now and all of them still work perfectly with zero issues. Maybe you guys just got unlucky with a bad batch, because mine came from a different supplier and I haven't had a single problem.
