TIL that old wiring diagrams can save your skin on modern jets
Had a nagging fault in the flight control system that stumped the crew. Pulled out the original schematics and found a mod wire that was never documented.

Sometimes those old schematics just add to the confusion.

Ever tried to fix something using a diagram from like 1998? It's a special kind of torture. Half the parts don't exist anymore and the labels are for a different model. Those old drawings don't clarify things, they just make you want to throw the whole project out the window.
