Walked into a hangar in Tulsa and saw our old wiring harness setup still in use

That thing was decommissioned 8 years ago because of chafing issues near the wing root, and theyre just running it same as ever. How do we get older shops to actually check service bulletins instead of going off what the last guy did?

Decommissioned 8 years ago because of chafing" sounds like you already know the answer. That old setup is still flying, so it's not like the wing is falling off tomorrow. I get the frustration, but shops that have been doing it one way since before you were born aren't suddenly going to read a bulletin and change their whole vibe. If it were really dangerous, you'd see more than just a comment about it. Maybe poke the lead mechanic with a friendly "hey, you seen this?" and see if they bite. Otherwise, you might just be yelling at a hangar that's been ignoring progress since 1987.
