A stranger's comment about my grocery spreadsheet stuck with me
I was in line at the Kroger on 5th Ave last Tuesday and the guy behind me saw my phone with my budgeting app open. He said, 'you track every single item? must be exhausting.' I laughed it off but it got me thinking. I've been doing this for 8 months now, logging every banana and box of cereal, and honestly it started as a way to cut spending. But now I check the totals every night like it's a game, and I'm not sure if I'm actually saving more or just obsessing over numbers. Has anyone else gotten to the point where tracking finances becomes its own hobby that kind of takes over?
