Bought a $40 book on 'crypto for dummies' and it made things worse
Tried to learn about Bitcoin before investing. The book was full of made-up words and weird jokes. Now I'm more confused, what's a good place to actually start?

Honestly, that book sounds rough. I learned by just watching a few YouTube videos that explain it like you're five. Forget the jargon at first, just get the basic idea of what a blockchain even is, like a public ledger everyone agrees on. Then the weird words start to make more sense. It's free and way less painful than some outdated book.

Yeah, that book sounds like a slog. Parker183 is right, videos make it way easier to get the basics down first.

Totally agree, the video route is the only way I got it to click. I tried reading a couple of those dense books first and just ended up with a headache. Found this one channel that just uses simple drawings and talks super slow, it was a lifesaver. Once you see the basic idea moving, the book stuff might actually help later. But starting with a dry textbook is just setting yourself up to quit.
