Fixing my budget spreadsheet after a formula error took me three days
I was tracking my monthly spending in a Google Sheet and a simple SUM formula broke, showing my grocery total as zero for April. It turned out I had accidentally hidden a row with $450 in charges, so the math was off. I spent maybe three hours over three nights checking every cell before I spotted it. Has anyone else had a basic formula glitch eat up a ton of time?

Honestly, the worst part is when you start doubting your own basic math skills. You stare at the screen wondering if you just forgot how to add. That hidden row trick is a classic (and super annoying) one. It makes you want to just write everything down on paper again, which is saying something.

Ugh, I feel that. I once spent an hour because a single cell was formatted as text instead of a number. The total was off by like 2, and I was re-checking everything. Now my first move is to select the whole column and hit 'Clear Formats'. Then I do a quick sum of a few random cells with a calculator to prove the spreadsheet is wrong, not me. It's the only way to keep your sanity.

My budget once convinced me I was a financial genius, turns out I just can't spell "sum" right.
