Just hit my first $500 month from a side gig I almost gave up on
I started flipping used electronics from estate sales about 6 months ago. Nothing fancy, just old laptops and gaming consoles I could clean up and resell. Last month I made $470 after all the fees and shipping costs. The weird thing is it wasn't the high end stuff that made the money. It was a dusty old Wii I picked up for $15 at a sale in Portland. Someone paid $120 for it with the original box. I learned that accessories and original packaging matter way more than I thought. Has anyone else had a random cheap item turn into your biggest profit?

Isn't it funny how the little stuff nobody else wants often turns out to be the real gold?

That line "the little stuff nobody else wants" really hit home for me. It's almost like the items people overlook end up being the hidden gems because nobody else is even looking at them. @miles_roberts your point about the GameCube proves it too. I think a lot of flippers get too focused on what's popular or trending and miss the everyday stuff that actually sells. What's your method for spotting those overlooked items? Do you go in with a list or just scan everything and trust your gut?

Used to think you needed rare, expensive stuff to make real money flipping. But then I sold a beat up GameCube with just two controllers and Mario Kart for triple what I paid, way more than the "better" consoles I had. That really changed my whole view on what actually sells.
