My old boss swore by this budget trick, and it actually saved my butt last month
Six years ago, my manager at a call center in Tulsa told me to split every paycheck into three accounts, bills, fun money, and a 'surprise fund' that I never touch. I thought it was overkill, but last month my car's transmission went out and the shop quoted me $1,850. That surprise fund had $1,900 in it, just from tossing in $50 per check, and I didn't have to touch my credit card. Has anyone else gotten a boring money tip that ended up being the one thing that saved them, or is it just me?
