My buddy Chris got hooked by one of those too. @josephmartin is spot on, he tried to cook a single sweet potato and it came out raw in the middle and burnt on the outside. He finally just gave it to Goodwill and bought a real one.

Wait, did you also buy one of those off-brand ones where the basket is basically the size of a coffee mug? I made the same mistake last year, got a no-name one on sale thinking I was being smart with my money. It couldn't even fit a single frozen chicken tender without overlapping everything. I ended up just using it as a glorified toaster for like two weeks before I gave up and bought a proper one.
