Three months to figure out a bank transfer that took 10 minutes
I needed to move some money between two accounts at different banks last year. Simple thing right? But one of the banks kept rejecting the transfer and wouldn't tell me why. I called them four times and got four different answers. First it was a typo in the routing number. Then it was my name not matching. Then they said the account was flagged for too many login attempts. After three months of this back and forth I finally drove to a branch in Cincinnati and a teller fixed it in ten minutes. Turns out the online system just needed a manual override from someone in person. Anyone else have a bank problem that dragged on way longer than it should have?

I used to think bank problems were just user error until I read about your "manual override" situation. That changed my mind because a system that needs an in person fix for something you can start online is just broken design. Stuff like that makes me wonder how many simple problems get turned into months long headaches by bad systems.

Is calling it a "manual override" really just a fancy way of saying a teller has to push a button?
