Hiked the Eagle Rock Loop in Arkansas back in 2009 and again last month, the trail markers tell a story
Back then it was just faded blazes on trees, now there's a numbered post at every crossing and even a few new footbridges over the worst creek spots. Anyone else notice these routes getting more built up, or is it just me?
Totally feel you on this, it's kinda bittersweet. Part of me misses when you had to actually work to find the route, but the new bridges over those sketchy creek spots are a lifesaver lol. Trails all over seem to be getting the fancy treatment these days.
