Just realized I've logged 300 miles on the same 40-mile loop near Shenandoah and I'm not even mad
I was scrolling through my trail log last week and saw I've hiked the same 40-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail near Shenandoah 7 times since March, which adds up to almost 300 miles of the exact same rocks and switchbacks. What surprised me is that I keep finding new stuff every time, like a hidden spring 2 miles past the last shelter that I somehow missed on the first 6 trips. Does anyone else have a route they keep going back to instead of trying new trails, or am I just stuck in a rut?
