My move to no-cook meals on the trail surprised me
Tbh, it saves time and lets me hike longer each day.

I tried that once but missed a warm meal at camp. Ended up carrying a tiny stove just for evening tea, which felt worth the extra few ounces. My food bag was mostly tortillas, peanut butter, and those foil packets of chicken. It wasn’t gourmet, but watching the sunset with a hot drink made the routine feel less Spartan.

Yeah, those little comforts really make a difference out there. Carrying a few extra ounces for a warm drink seems worth it when you're watching the sunset. It turns a basic routine into something you actually look forward to.
