Question about the Pacific Crest Trail through the Sierra Nevada section

I hiked the 50 mile stretch from Yosemite Valley to Tuolumne Meadows last September and honestly think most people overhype the difficulty of the snow crossings, the actual tricky part was finding reliable water sources in the dry stretches, am I the only one who found that more stressful than the elevation gains?

Ngl I found snow crossings way more sketchy than any dry stretch out there.

Oh man, 100% agree. I remember one time I took a step and the crust just gave way underneath me, ended up postholing up to my waist. Felt like the whole mountain was just waiting to swallow me up after that. Never felt that way on a dry trail.

Yeah @leodavis those snow crossings with crust on top hiding a hole underneath are terrifying every single time.
