Finally finished my yearly bad movie bracket after 3 tries
Last month I set up a 16 movie tournament for my Friday crew, all terrible flicks we've been hoarding. Took 3 attempts to get the bracket right because I kept picking stuff that was too boring bad, not fun bad. We finally landed on Miami Connection vs Samurai Cop in the finals, and I have to say the crowd went wild for Miami Connection. Anyone else run a themed voting night, or do you just let people shout at the TV until something sticks?

Wait, wasn't Miami Connection the one where the lead actor totally forgot the whole "friends through eternity" thing and just ran around shirtless? That's the best kind of terrible though. Did your crew do the voting in rounds or was it just one big free-for-all at the end?

The shirtless thing was honestly the most committed acting in the whole movie. As for the voting, we did rounds, but by round three someone tried to argue the guy who says "I love you" to a pizza was a secret masterpiece, so we just gave up and let the chaos win. My crew's decision making is about as solid as that plot twist where the ninjas show up for no reason.

That pizza guy argument cracks me up because I had a buddy who did this same thing with his group for a terrible movie night, and by the end someone was passionately defending the ninja scene like it was high art. He told me they actually had to stop voting and just watch the movie again in silence just to reset everyone's brains. The kicker is, the guy who loved the pizza scene refused to watch anything else for like a month, kept saying it was "undervalued." I still bring it up whenever he tries to pick a film for us. Chaos really is the only honest winner in those situations.
