Hit 100 bad movies watched this year and it felt weird

I keep a list of every so-bad-it's-good movie I watch, and last night I crossed 100 with "Birdemic 2." That's a lot of terrible acting and wobbly effects. Anyone else track their bad movie count or just wing it?

Boy, that's a strange milestone to hit. It reminds me of how we collect all kinds of "bad" experiences in life, like bad meals or bad dates, and somehow they start to shape our taste just as much as the good ones do.

I mean, are you counting how many of those you actually finished or just started? I feel like some bad movies lose their charm after 20 minutes and I bail, but I guess you gotta commit for the list.

lindal13 brings up a good point about finishing them, but honestly, I think the weirder part is the mental math of what counts as "bad." Like, do you have to hate it for it to be bad, or can it be a truly terrible movie that you still kinda enjoy? For me, "Birdemic" is a whole different beast than something like "The Room" where you can laugh at it. But then you got movies that are just boring bad, which is worse than funny bad. I keep a separate list for "so bad they put me to sleep" and those don't even count toward my official number. What's your cutoff for a movie to make the list?
