Hit 500 bad movies on my 'so bad they're good' list and it changed how I rate
I started keeping a ranked list of the worst movies I've watched for fun about a year ago, and I just hit 500 entries last night. What surprised me is that movies like The Room and Birdemic don't even crack my top 10 anymore because I found way more entertaining garbage like 'Fateful Findings' and 'Cool Cat Saves the Kids'. Has anyone else's top bad movie list changed a ton after watching a lot of these?

Gotta disagree hard on this one. The Room is still a masterpiece of hilarious failure that can't be topped for me personally. Birdemic was painful to sit through with zero redeeming moments for me. Cool Cat and Fateful Findings are definitely top tier but they don't have that same pure cluelessness that The Room has where every single line is gold. I think after 500 you just get numb to the badness and start looking for depth where there isn't any.

Woah, hold up. Gotta gently push back on 'Fateful Findings' not having that pure cluelessness. Neil Breen's acting in that is so far beyond clueless that it loops back around to some kind of genius. The way he stares at a laptop screen like it's a sacred artifact or delivers every line with the same flat tone no matter if he's confessing a crime or ordering coffee, that's way more baffling than anything in The Room. Wiseau had some kind of vision even if it was broken, but Breen genuinely seems like he's from another dimension where movies don't exist. So yeah, I think you're selling Fateful Findings short by lumping it in with Cool Cat which is at least made by a guy who kinda knows what he's doing.
