Hot take: The Room is way more fun to watch with friends than alone

I used to watch bad movies by myself on my laptop, just quietly judging the terrible acting and weird plot holes. But last month I dragged three buddies over for a viewing of The Room and we did the whole throwing spoons thing, shouting at the screen. It was so much louder and funnier than my solo sessions, and my friend Dave even brought a bottle of scotch to pass around during the awkward love scenes. Has anyone else noticed how bad movies turn into comedy gold when you have a crowd reacting together?

Totally agree, crowd reactions make everything funnier.

Nothing beats hearing a whole room lose it at the same time. I swear half the reason I go to live shows is just to laugh along with everyone else. Though it can backfire when one person laughs way too loud and you miss the next joke because you're stuck listening to that one guy. Good luck trying to get that moment back.

Man, I used to be a solo bad movie snob too... but you're right. Dragging friends into it totally changed the whole experience for me.
