Just realized my favorite bad movie pick is actually a total mess

I was rewatching The Room at 2 AM last week in my apartment in Austin and it hit me that the whole subplot with the drug dealer goes absolutely nowhere. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out if it was supposed to be a metaphor or just bad writing. Has anyone else sat through a so-bad-it's-good film and suddenly noticed a huge plot hole you never caught before?

The plot works better if you view it like a dream where nothing has to connect.

My friend Jenny watched this movie three times before she finally got it. She kept getting hung up on the weird time jumps and characters showing up in places they shouldn't be. Then she realized if she stopped trying to connect every little dot, it just worked. She told me she literally fell asleep watching it the second time and woke up during the ending scene and it all made sense to her. Kinda proves your point honestly.
