Kitchen sink realism vs full gore, our group split down the middle
At our last movie club pick, I had to choose between Hobgoblins and The Unnamable. I went with Hobgoblins since I figured puppets would be funnier than the gore fest. Big mistake, we spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what was even happening in the first act. Half the room wanted to switch to the other movie but I stuck with it. Has anyone else had a pick go sideways so bad you almost lost the whole group's trust?
