My cousin walked out of The Room after 20 minutes and I have not let it go since Thanksgiving
Last Thanksgiving at my aunt's place in Reno, I put on The Room for the family and my cousin Dan made it 20 minutes before he stood up and left the room. He came back with a plate of pie and said, and I quote, 'the acting is just people waiting for their turn to talk.' I have been hosting bad movie nights for 4 years and that one line has haunted me more than any film we have watched. The whole point is that the bad acting IS the fun, you lean into the weird pauses and the random rooftop scenes. He treated it like a real movie that failed instead of a gift that keeps giving. So tell me, do you have a person in your life who just does not get why we watch this stuff, and what movie finally broke them?
