That one Friday where "The Room" broke our movie night streak

I planned this big bad movie marathon for my friends last Friday, and we kicked it off with "The Room" at 7 PM. By 9 PM, three people had actually walked out because they said it was too painful to sit through, and one guy fell asleep on my couch. I spent $40 on snacks nobody touched because everyone was just staring at the TV in disbelief. Has anyone else had a planned movie night just totally bomb like that? What movie did it?

Next time try a double feature with something actually good so they stick around.

$40 on snacks nobody touched because they were too busy questioning everyone's life choices? At least you didn't have to clean up any spills, silver linings and all that. I had a similar disaster with "Birdemic" where I ended up apologizing to my own couch cushions by the end of the night.

Birdemic is a special kind of punishment for anyone who owns a television. Forty bucks on snacks is a bargain compared to the therapy bill you'd need after watching those CGI birds fly through the air. At least your couch cushions forgave you eventually. Mine are still giving me the silent treatment after I forced them to sit through "The Room.
