The guy at the thrift store who got me to watch The Room for the first time

Tbh I was about to grab a random VHS when this old dude in the checkout line saw my copy of Troll 2 and said 'if you think that's bad, you haven't seen a real disaster yet,' and now 4 years later I've hosted 30 bad movie nights and his recommendation is still the one that started it all, anyone else have a stranger turn them onto their favorite so-bad-it's-good flick?
