The one 'so bad it's good' movie everyone loves that I just can't get behind
I know everyone in this group worships The Room, and I get it, Tommy Wiseau is a legend. But I tried watching it three times last year and I just couldn't finish it. Something about the pacing feels off to me, like it's too slow even for a bad movie. Has anyone else found another classic that just didn't click for them?

Oh man, I tried watching The Office (US version) because everyone says it's the funniest thing ever and I just... sat there like a confused potato. All those awkward silences felt like they lasted 20 minutes each. I fell asleep during "Dinner Party" twice. Maybe my humor is broken or I just have the attention span of a gnat. Please tell me I'm not the only one who can't handle cringe comedy.

Dinner Party is actually one of the most AWKWARD episodes to start with because it leans so hard into the cringe. Try the first season or just watch "The Dundies" instead, it's way more gentle and actually funny.

Four times I tried to get through The Room and I fell asleep each time before the football scene. There's something about that movie that feels like watching someone's home video that accidentally got released in theaters. The pacing is brutal, like the whole thing is being played at half speed but the dialogue is somehow still rushed. @kim_johnson51 your Office confusion makes total sense to me, cringe comedy is a specific thing that either hits you or it doesn't. My brother loves The Room like it's a religious text and I just sit there bored out of my skull while he's dying laughing. Some movies just miss completely even when everyone else sees something in them.

See I gotta disagree with @jasonf17 on the football scene being the highlight. That stuff is the most boring part of the movie honestly. What gets me is the random side characters and how everyone talks past each other. You ever notice how the whole movie feels like a play where none of the actors rehearsed together? The sex scenes especially are just painful to sit through. It might be bad but I never got the laugh factor everyone else seems to find in it.
