Update: my $30 projector fried on movie 3, now I'm stuck with my laptop screen
Tbh it started smoking right during the worst fight scene and now the whole room smells like burnt plastic. Anyone else have a budget projector die mid viewing, did you just go back to a TV or risk another cheap brand?

Laptop screen feels huge" hits different, right? Just prop that gremlin setup next to a blank wall and call it a premiere.

Mine died on the third episode of a show I was binging and I swear it chose the exact moment the main character was about to confess something. Burnt plastic smell is so real, I thought my roommate was cooking something weird before I saw the smoke coming out of the little vent hole. Honestly I'm just impressed it lasted that long for $30, my last cheap one gave up after one movie night and just went black with no dramatic smoke show. Now I'm back to hunching over my laptop like a gremlin and honestly the screen feels HUGE compared to that tin can projector. Not gonna lie, I might just buy another cheap one because the whole theater vibe in my dark bedroom was worth the fire hazard risk.
