Oh man, scales are a game changer (and I learned this the hard way). I used to just scoop flour like some kind of reckless cowboy and my cookies always came out like hockey pucks or weird flat discs. Now I weigh everything and it's weirdly satisfying, like I'm a real baker instead of a chaotic goblin in my kitchen. My poor scale has definitely seen some flour explosions though, don't judge me.
