Hot take: my sister said my frosting looks like spackle, and she was right
I used to pile buttercream on thick because more frosting equals more love, or so I figured. She took one look at my kid's birthday cake in March and asked why I was patching drywall, so now I do a thin crumb coat, chill it 20 minutes, then a second thin layer. Anyone else had a family member roast their cake and end up weirdly grateful for it?
