I finally broke down and bought a $30 Danish dough whisk
Always thought they were a gimmick until I tried to mix a stiff sourdough batch with a regular spoon last Sunday. That thing sliced through the dough like butter and saved my wrists. Anyone else have a tool they resisted forever?

I heard from a baker buddy that a good dough whisk can cut mixing time by almost half compared to a spoon. That $30 sounds like a bargain if it's saving your wrists.

Took me way too long to get a bench scraper for the same reason. Thought it was just another overpriced gadget but now I use it for everything from dividing dough to cleaning off the counter. That dough whisk is worth it if you mix often enough to feel it in your wrists.
