Just ruined a batch of chocolate chip cookies by forgetting the flour

I was on a roll last Tuesday, measured everything out perfectly, then realized halfway through scooping the dough that I had left out 2 cups of flour. The cookies spread into one giant thin disc that I had to scrape off the pan with a spatula. Has anyone else had a baking fail where you skipped a key ingredient and tried to salvage it?

Wait, did the dough just feel really light and weird while you were scooping it? I swear I did the exact same thing with sugar cookies one time and ended up with this huge crispy lacy thing that looked like a topographic map of the moon.

...and honestly mine came out worse. I did the same thing with banana bread once. Left out the baking powder. That thing was like a hockey puck. Tried to slice it and it just crumbled into sad banana dust. My roommate still brings it up two years later.

Oh man, I feel your pain on that one. I once tried to make lemon bars and forgot the sugar completely. The crust was fine but the filling was basically sad lemon jelly that nobody would touch. I tried to pass it off as a "tart" to my friends but they saw right through it. My dog wouldn't even eat it.
