Last Tuesday was my worst baking day in 10 years

I ruined three batches of cookies in one afternoon. The butter was too soft, then I forgot the baking soda on the second try, and the third batch spread into one giant cookie sheet. Has anyone else had a day where absolutely nothing worked?

Oh man, I've been there so many times. It feels like the universe just decides you're not baking today and throws every possible mistake at you at once. The one giant cookie sheet thing is rough, I've definitely made a couple of those in my time. It's almost impressive how one simple thing like soft butter can just wreck everything. Glad you're still at it after a day like that though, baking is a stubborn hobby.

Happens to the best of us. I had a similar disaster last month with a lemon cake that just wouldn't rise no matter what I did. Sometimes you just have to walk away and try again the next day.

Right? It's always the simple stuff that goes wrong too. Last week I tried making cookies and forgot the baking powder, ended up with these flat, sad little pucks. Walked away, had a coffee, came back the next day and they came out perfect. Sometimes you just need to give it a day and a fresh start lol.
