Switched from parchment paper to silicone mats for cookies and it was a total game changer
I used to always use parchment paper for my chocolate chip cookies and they would spread too thin and burn on the bottom. Then about 3 months ago I got a set of silicone baking mats from a discount store for $8 and tried them out. The cookies come out way more even and I don't have to keep buying new paper every time. Has anyone else noticed a big difference switching to mats for certain bakes?

My buddy Steve got a set of those silicone mats for Christmas and he wouldn't shut up about them for like a month. He told me his first batch of sugar cookies came out so perfect he actually thought his oven was broken. Then he tried them for roasting veggies and said the cleanup was so easy he almost cried. Said he used to spend 10 minutes scraping burnt cheese off a pan but with the mat it just wiped clean. He's not even a big baker or anything but now he uses them for everything from bacon to frozen pizza. I gotta admit, hearing how much he loves them made me think about ditching my parchment paper too.

Man Steve gets it.
Those mats are a game changer for real. I ditched parchment paper a year ago and never looked back.
Cleaning is stupid easy. Just rinse and wipe.
Bacon comes out perfect every time too. No more greasy paper towels.
