The $18 bench scraper I fought against for years

I always thought bench scrapers were a gimmick, you know, just another gadget for people with fancy kitchens, so I stuck with a flimsy plastic one that kept bending. Then my sister visited last month and used her metal scraper to clean my counter in one quick pass and flip my dough like it was nothing, so I bought one from the local baking supply shop for $18 and I'm honestly mad at myself for waiting. Anyone else have a tool they refused to buy for ages and then it turned out to be a total game changer for their baking?

Wait until you discover dough scrapers, I refused to buy one for years because my hands work fine, then I used my buddy's and now I feel like a caveman who just found fire. The metal bench scraper is basically the same story, once you go metal you start eyeing everything on the counter like it needs a good scraping. My only regret is the $18 I could've spent on butter instead of being stubborn.
