TIL my sourdough starter went from a sad, flat pancake batter to a bubbly, active monster after I moved it from my cold kitchen counter to the top of my fridge for 3 days.
Has anyone else found a specific spot in their house that just makes their starter go crazy?

Wait, you're measuring the temperature on top of the fridge? I mean, mine is just a dusty wasteland for old cookbooks and expired coupons. It's gotta be like ten degrees warmer than the rest of the kitchen up there.

Totally. That heat pocket above the fridge is a real thing. It's like how the space behind the TV gets warm, or the corner by the dryer.
