Used to eyeball my butter for pie crust, now I weigh it after a disaster in November
My crusts came out tough for years until I finally weighed the flour and butter on a $12 kitchen scale instead of scooping. Turns out I was off by about 30 grams every time, which explains the hockey pucks I served at Thanksgiving in 2023. Has anyone switched back to eyeballing after weighing, or is the scale just part of life now?
