Can we talk about straight razor beard trims?

I finally gave a beard trim with a straight razor and the client was really happy. I managed to avoid cuts, but I'm fuzzy on what to do next for skin care. What's a good way to help with redness after shaving?

For redness after shaving, I heard witch hazel works well for that.

Honestly, witch hazel often makes redness worse. It dries out your skin and can lead to more irritation. A simple aloe vera gel works much better.
