Clipper blade flew off mid haircut and hit the mirror last Tuesday

I was doing a fade on a kid when my Andis blade just launched itself across the room and cracked the wall mirror. Had to finish the cut with my backup clippers while the kid's mom laughed her head off. Has anyone else had a tool just explode on them out of nowhere?

Man I had a similar thing happen with a screwdriver once. Was just tightening a cabinet door and the whole handle just came off in my hand. The metal part flew across the kitchen and hit a mug on the counter. Still don't know if I was just putting too much torque on it or what.

Jumped right in to finish the cut with the backup clippers after that... that's the kind of chaos that makes you wonder if the universe just hates you that day. Feel like tools know when you're in a hurry and pick that exact moment to self destruct.
