Had a clipper jam on a skin fade with a regular in the chair yesterday
I was doing a mid fade on a guy named Dave at my shop in Springfield, and my main clippers just stopped dead halfway through. I had to grab my backup pair, finish the cut, and then take the first ones apart to find a tiny piece of hair wrapped super tight around the blade drive. What's your go-to move when your main tool fails during a cut?

My buddy's clipper cord got yanked right out of the socket mid-fade once.

Actually, that's a cord getting pulled from the clipper, not the wall socket. Big difference because the wall plug is way tougher to break. Means his cord was probably frayed already. Always check your gear before a cut.

Hate when that happens, man. It feels like your own gear betrays you. I see this everywhere now, not just in the shop. We rely so hard on one piece of tech or one system that a single point of failure messes up the whole job. My move is to always have a backup plan running, like your second clippers, because something will eventually break. What do you do to keep your cool when the pressure is on like that?
