Had a regular named Dave come back after a year and ask for the same cut
He moved to Portland for work and said he tried three different barbers there but none got his side part right like I do. He drove an hour back to my shop in Everett just for a haircut today. It's a good feeling when someone remembers your work like that. Anyone else have a client who came back after a long time away?

My old mechanic in Tacoma sees that all the time. People move away but come back for his honest work because they can't find that trust again. It shows how a good skill builds real loyalty.

Yeah, that's so true. I'm still driving across town to my old barber, even though I moved last year. Guess my loyalty is stronger than my desire to save on gas, which says a lot about my car's mileage now that I think about it.

Read an article once about how trust in a service person is almost like a friendship. Makes sense why people would drive back for that.
