Heard a guy at the barber supply in Philly say he never uses a neck duster on kids

He said the bristles can scare them and a soft towel works better to get the loose hairs off. I always used the duster on everyone, but after trying the towel on a 5 year old last Friday, he sat way more still. What's your go-to for keeping little ones comfortable at the end of a cut?

My nephew flinches at the duster every single time.

That's so specific, @the_spencer. My old roommate's cat would lose its mind at the sound of a spray bottle, like full-on parkour off the walls. We had to hide it in a drawer just to clean the windows.

That flinch from the nephew is so real. I used to be that barber, all confident with the duster until a toddler looked at me like I was pulling out a weapon. Now I just use my apron to wipe their neck, it's way less scary.
