Hot take: clipper maintenance beats any new blade purchase

Last month I spent $80 on a fancy new blade set, then realized my 4 year old clippers were dull because I never oiled them, just wiped them off. Now I do a 30 second oil and brush routine every night after my last cut, and honestly it's saved me more time than any upgrade. Anyone else skip the maintenance stuff until something fails, or am I the only lazy one?
